Kitchen Remodel Journey ( Before and After Photos )

This was a very gratifying residential project to work on. I knew the space had so much potential yet it was dark, gloomy, and out dated. The space planning didn't make much sense, there wasn't adequate lighting, and certainly not enough storage. These were the areas, along with the aesthetic of course, I would be focusing on when designing this kitchen.

My first plan of action was add more storage. I decided to wrap the cabinetry around to the left wall and added pantry storage to balance the weight of the fridge on the other side. Another crucial element (and my favorite thing about the kitchen) was the 8' long island.

From there we added in some extra can lights to help brighten things up along with a fresh new coat of paint. New tile flooring, cabinetry, counter top, back-splash, appliances, fixtures, decor and we have a new, fresh, functional and inviting space.
